Nedstar was founded in 2018 and sets out to be the global standard for quality, service, and ethics within ethanol trading. Based in the heart of Amsterdam, our international team of commercial and logistical experts is there to respond to our customers’ ethanol needs worldwide.

At Nedstar, we trade and supply food-, cosmetics-, industry-, pharmaceutical-, and electronics-grade ethyl alcohol to over 50 countries. We aim to establish long-lasting relationships with our customers and partners. Keeping the well-being of people and the planet always in mind, we build our company on sustainable and honest business practices.

Nedstar takes its social responsibility seriously and wants to make a positive impact on the world - environmentally, socially, and economically. Our ethanol is largely made from the sugar industry’s residual stream and our suppliers are carefully selected based on strict fairness and sustainability criteria. We offset significantly more CO2 than its impact, being the only ethanol trader to do so in this way. We have also committed ourselves to various CSR initiatives relevant to our relationships with suppliers, customers, and the planet, such as Tree Nation, IMO 2020 and The Green Intelligence.
