all personal effects, household goods, unaccompanied passenger baggage
are subject to mandatory quarantine inspections , no exceptions and long delays
are incurred , between 1-4 weeks whilst this process is undertaken
estimates of costs cannot be given until completion of inspections as shipments can be ordered to undergo additional treatments such as fumigation and irradiation
depending on contents of shipments which are unpacked , opened and made available
at the destination air or sea depot
