To overcome the challenges of maintaining continuous communication on vast oceans, COSCO SHIPPING developed IBOX-VESSEL, an intelligent monitoring solution that enables real-time data transfer from containers to the ship's deck office and cloud platform. This allows carriers and cargo owners to track reefer container status through the IBOX application.
By integrating air-sky networks, geofencing, and IoT technology, COSCO SHIPPING optimizes resource planning and management within the container logistics chain. This approach contributes to improved shipping route efficiency. The company's vessel, COSCO SHIPPING Brazil, serves as a prime example of how this technology enhances the freshness of South American fruits and vegetables.
The MY REEFER platform offers customers a comprehensive view of the supply chain, including cold chain information and tracking capabilities for large-scale projects. Advanced AI algorithms within the platform enable precise tracking, risk identification, and operational efficiency improvements. Additionally, MY REEFER facilitates customs clearance by connecting directly with Shanghai Customs, enabling paperless processes and expediting the clearance of fresh fruit imports.
By implementing a new generation of algorithms, COSCO SHIPPING has developed an equipment life cycle model that maintains optimal container condition and reduces carbon emissions. This environmental benefit is equivalent to the carbon absorption of 454 hectares of forest annually.
