MSC Bolsters Asia-Mexico Trade with New Dhalia Shuttle Service

MSC is excited to announce the launch of its new Dhalia shuttle service, designed to significantly enhance cargo capacity on the Asia-Mexico West Coast route. This premium service caters specifically to the South China to Mexico trade lane, offering customers a reliable loop rotation and increased frequency between these key regions.

The Dhalia seamlessly integrates with MSC's existing network, joining established services like Andes, Aztec, Inca, Mexicas, and Santana. This expansion creates a robust and unmatched premium network connecting South America and Asia, providing unparalleled options for businesses.

To ensure operational efficiency with the addition of Dhalia, MSC will modify its existing Mexicas service. This modification includes an additional call at Tianjin Xingang, China, fostering operational synergies across the network.

The Dhalia's route will see vessels navigate a loop rotation, starting from Shekou, China, and traversing Xiamen, Shanghai, Busan (South Korea), Manzanillo (Mexico), and finally reaching Lazaro Cardenas (Mexico) before returning. The inaugural voyage is scheduled for August 3rd, 2024, with the MSC Floriana VI (voyage number 431A) departing from Shekou.

Furthermore, to optimize overall service offerings, the Mexicas service will also adopt a new rotation. This revised route incorporates an additional stop at Tianjin Xingang, followed by Qingdao, Ningbo (both in China), Busan, Manzanillo, and Lazaro Cardenas. The first sailing on this modified route will be aboard the MSC Ines (voyage number QM431A) departing from Tianjin Xingang on August 3rd, 2024.

MSC's commitment to innovation and network optimization is evident with the launch of the Dhalia service and the strategic adjustments to the Mexicas route. These enhancements provide customers with increased capacity, frequency, and a wider range of service options to meet their evolving needs in the ever-growing Asia-Mexico trade lane.
