CMA CGM Launches French Peak Service to Bolster Trade During Peak Season

In response to a surge in maritime transport demand between Asia, Northern Europe, and the Mediterranean, CMA CGM Group has announced the launch of the FRENCH PEAK SERVICE. This exceptional seasonal offering aims to alleviate supply chain pressures during the peak season.

The FRENCH PEAK SERVICE will provide seven additional 7,000 TEU vessels, increasing capacity by 25% on this critical route. Bi-weekly departures from China will commence on June 30th and continue through early September. These vessels will alternate between two routes, calling at ports in Northern Europe (Le Havre and Antwerp) and the Mediterranean (Fos-sur-Mer and Malta).

The service will operate on a 15-day rotation, with the first departure scheduled for June 30th from Yantian, China, aboard the APL OREGON. This strategic deployment will offer greater flexibility and cater to the specific needs of CMA CGM's customers.

The FRENCH PEAK SERVICE is a testament to CMA CGM's commitment to adapting its services to meet evolving customer demands. By offering increased capacity and additional calls at key French ports (Le Havre and Fos-sur-Mer), CMA CGM aims to better serve French importers and exporters during this high-demand period. This initiative demonstrates the company's agility in navigating disruptions within major maritime routes and supporting its customers in efficiently managing their supply chains.
