Lufthansa Cargo Expands Winter Flight Schedule

Lufthansa Cargo has released its winter flight schedule for 2024/2025, featuring increased capacity and new routes. The cargo carrier will operate 89 weekly B777F freighter connections worldwide, seven more than in the previous summer timetable.

A significant addition to the winter schedule is a transpacific flight connecting Frankfurt, Ho Chi Minh City, Los Angeles, and Frankfurt. This is Lufthansa Cargo's first direct connection between Asia and the United States, offering customers faster and more efficient transportation options.

To accommodate the growing demand for e-commerce shipments and other goods, Lufthansa Cargo is increasing its frequencies to India and China. The entry into service of an additional B777F freighter has enabled this expansion. Furthermore, the A321F fleet will operate up to 34 weekly flights on medium-haul and short-haul routes between Frankfurt and Munich.

In the Asia-Pacific region, Lufthansa Cargo is adding weekly freighter capacity to Mumbai, Taipei, and Chennai, while also serving Hyderabad or Mumbai in combination with Chennai. The recent addition of Shenzhen and Zhengzhou to its route network brings the total number of weekly frequencies to Asia to 50.

The freighter rotation from Frankfurt to Tel Aviv and Cairo will also be increased by one weekly flight. The continental network will remain largely unchanged, with the A321F fleet offering direct connections from Munich to Istanbul and back.

The winter schedule 2024/2025 can be booked from October 6 and takes effect on October 27. In addition to its freighter services, Lufthansa Cargo also markets cargo capacity on up to 7,500 weekly flights to over 350 destinations served by Lufthansa Group airlines and SunExpress.
