December 2005 shows that Freightnet.com doubled the number of page impressions (hits) received by its site over 2004. This year the figure is 7.2 million (so far) which is nearly double last years record.
‘It is a great conclusion to our tenth anniversary brought about in part by our aggressive marketing and continual new sectors and development.’ says Freightnet’s Editorial Director, Paul Smith.
He points out that year on year growth has always been achieved ‘but the past 12 months have been incredible’ he exclaims. ‘We are nearly at 50,000 unique visitors per month which is very exciting when you consider we had less that in the whole of 1995.’
Furthermore, he adds, ‘Last year we handled an amazing number of email enquiries and this year it looks as though we have doubled this number too.’
Keeping their site at the top of its field has always been Freightnet’s strategy. As records are to be broken, Paul states that ‘The Freightnet Team will endeavour to attract more unique visitors by adding more features and new sectors in 2006 as their target is to break the one million unique visitors mark next year which reached ½ million this year.’
