Top independent freight forwarders from all over the world will gather at the fourth annual Advanced Professional Logistics Network (APLN*) conference, to be held in Bangkok, Thailand, September 12-15.

The APLN conference centres around individual meetings between forwarders seeking specific agents or partners in other areas. These face-to-face meetings are organised using WCA Family’s trademark One-on-One SchedulerTM which enables delegates to specify in advance who, where and what they are looking for and arrange their timetable for the conference before they leave for the event. With its newly enhanced Advanced Search facility, the One-on-One SchedulerTM has been adopted by leading trade bodies FIATA and TIACA for use at their own events.

Andy Robins, a WCA Family vice president and general manager of APLN, commented: “As APLN grows, so does the trust between members, who are placing an increasing proportion of their total business with partners who are also members. There is so much more business to be obtained between members and the conference will provide an ideal opportunity to meet the new high-quality members who have joined during the past year as well as to cement the relationships already in place after the first three such meetings.”

Delegates will also learn about some really exciting developments on insurance programmes and other initiatives specially for APLN members with the benefit of the network’s affiliation to WCA Family and its enormous group buying power that could result in startling savings for your business

Associated events will include a welcome cocktail party, dinner and awards gala, a golf tournament and sightseeing tours, giving delegates further opportunities for socialising and developing the personal bonds so important in building long-lasting business relations.
