DHL Express Launches Express Easy in Singapore

* New range offers standardized packaging with lower environmental impact
* Shipping made easier with new packaging range

Singapore, 5 August 2010 - DHL Express, the world’s leading express company, recently launched “Express Easy”. A new packaging range designed to simplify its shipping services for customers and reduce its environmental impact, Express Easy is now available to customers in Singapore.

Express Easy is available at all DHL SERVICEPOINT, including 73 NTUC FairPrice Xpress and Cheers outlets island wide, two TANGS stores located on Orchard Road and in VivoCity, three NUS Co-op outlets and four DHL service centers around the island, making DHL Express Easy easily accessible 24/7.

With the new service made readily available at so many locations around Singapore, customers can also enjoy greater access to Express Easy.”

The DHL Express Easy packaging options range from a ready-to-assemble envelope to a pallet box for shipments weighing up to 100kg, catering especially to walk-in customers and small-and-medium businesses. The DHL branded double-corrugated cardboard boxes are provided free of charge to all customers at the DHL SERVICEPOINT. Made from recycled material, Express Easy is also a more environmentally-friendly packaging range supporting DHL Express’ GOGREEN environmental protection strategy.

Roland Thomas, Vice President Global Products at DHL Express, said: “This versatile packaging range really does satisfy the majority of our customers’ shipping needs. We can manage any parcel from 500g to 25kg, cater to a variety of shapes, and with our patented pallet box, we can increase the weight range to 100kg.”

Each DHL Express Easy box comes with a defined maximum weight and a simple fixed fee. Customers of Easy Express can now enjoy comparatively lower prices than that of DHL Express Worldwide services. On average, customers can expect to save 20% to 40% on shipping, depending on the destination and weight of their parcels.
