A bright future

“This is a fantastic step for us”, comments Iain Speak, COO of Bibby Distribution. “We now have an active development presence across Europe and an exciting developing prospect base. Feedback from our own client base has also been positive as, through Logistics World Alliance, we can deliver their growth aspirations throughout Europe.” A number of our clients have already benefited from a complete end to end quality service”

Specialists under one roof

“As national leading contract logistic service providers, both new partners are ideal members of Logistics World Alliance”, says Logistics World Alliance Managing Director Hans Peter Schneider. The goal of Logistics World Alliance is clear: “To provide international companies with seamless contract logistics solutions throughout Europe" says Schneider. "Through our network we can deliver more value - exploiting the capability, flexibility and adaptability that only regional companies can provide - but as a single integrated package”.

Geis for Germany, Czech Republic and Slovakia

More than 3,000 employees work for the Geis group generating a turnover in excess of half a billion Euros. The company offers its national and international clients an entire range of logistics services – from domestic and pan-European road transportation to the development of international air and sea freight through to contract logistic services. Siemens, Avaya, Puma and Semikron are among its clients.

“For several years we have reported strong growth rates in complex contract logistic solutions”, state managing directors Hans-Georg Geis and Wolfgang Geis. “Increasing multi-country activity among our clients has resulted in an ongoing increase in the demand of cross-border services too. In cooperation with the LWA partners we are now able to offer our clients our high quality standards across Europe.” Geis itself covers Germany as well as the up-and-coming markets of Czech Republic and Slovakia on behalf of Logistics World Alliance. In both countries the company also has cargo and logistic networks.

New in Italy: Log Service Europe

With its new Italian partner, Logistics World Alliance presents a logistics service provider that shares both capability and culture with the existing members. Log Service Europe manages a national business network from its head office in Bressana Milan. Up to one thousand employees offer clients the entire range of logistic services from procurement to warehousing and distribution via a national network and international road freight.

“We expect our major clients to profit from our membership in Logistics World Alliance”, declares Gainclaudio Caimi, Managing Director of Log Service Europe. “Our customers can work through a single contact to access all European markets, yet retain the same individual quality and attention that comes from working with independent regional logistics providers.”

Seamless international contract logistics

“Lean management systems, speed of response, and flexible decision-making processes – these are the strengths of Logistics World Alliance and its associates”, says Schneider. “With the new partners onboard, we can continue to develop an exciting prospects base within international contract logistics, growing the value to clients and members alike”, Schneider concludes.
