Recognition for supply chain excellence underscores DHL’s market leadership position. Regional expansion of Supply Chain Business unit fuels growth
DHL, the global leader in the express and logistics industry, announced today that its DHL Exel Supply Chain business unit was recognized for its market leadership position by receipt of the Asia Pacific 3PL Excellence Award at the SCMLogistics Excellence Awards ceremony in Singapore on Tuesday, October 14.
“DHL Exel Supply Chain is committed to developing creative and cost effective supply chain management solutions for our customers across Asia Pacific, and we are proud to be recognized by them, and our peers,” remarked Paul H. Graham, CEO, Asia Pacific, DHL Exel Supply Chain. “Faced with an increasing level of economic uncertainty, many clients across the pharma, retail, IT, automotive and FMCG sectors are looking at new ways to improve their supply chain efficiency to help drive greater levels of service and cost reductions; something we’re well equipped to manage for them,” added Graham.
The SCMLogistics Excellence Awards was part of the 4th SCMLogistics World 2008 that gathered global supply chain and logistics professionals in Singapore for a four-day conference, workshop and seminars. A total of 12 awards were presented to leading manufacturers and supply chain solutions and services providers who have achieved significant success in implementing best-in-class supply chain management strategies.
