Railion acquires Brunner Railway Services GmbH - Logistics Competence Extended in Switzerland

Railion Deutschland AG has acquired the Swiss-based rail operator Brunner Railway Services GmbH (BRS) with headquarters in Dietlikon. BRS was founded in 2005 and has successfully operated in as a provider of rail services since April 2006.

With this acquisition, Railion will now be able to offer its customers a comprehensive range of transport services in , with BRS in future concentrating on the provision of single freight car cross-border transport services between and . BRS is thus an ideal supplement to the successful block train transport services partnership between Railion and BLS Cargo AG from . This is to be further intensified this year, particularly with respect to the important transit services from and to . "I can easily imagine including BLS Cargo as a co-partner of Brunner Railway Services, as this will allow us to expand the range of joint services we provide with our successful transit partner and significantly increase our overall impact in , said Railion CEO Dr. Klaus Kremper.
