Tideworks Technology(R) Inc., a leading provider of full-service terminal management and planning software solutions for terminal operators, today announced the successful deployment of its container terminal management suite by P&O Ports North America in Tampa, Florida. P&O Ports North America joins Tideworks' growing base of customers in the region as the seventh customer located in the state of Florida utilizing Tideworks' terminal management systems solutions. This is Tideworks' first implementation at a facility solely operated by P&O Ports.

The deployment includes Tideworks' Mainsail Terminal Management System(R), Mainsail(TM) Online, and Spinnaker Planning Management System(R). Mainsail and Mainsail Online have been implemented in an Application Service Provider (ASP) environment and are hosted on remote servers located at Tideworks' data center. A local server on site hosts the Spinnaker application.

"We took over the operation of the terminal in Tampa in early June and had a lot of activities to coordinate in a relatively short time period. P&O Ports North America is utilizing Tideworks' terminal management suite, which includes the following components:
-- Mainsail Terminal Management System: Mainsail provides real-time inventory management, flexible workflow tools, and comprehensive integration with other business-critical systems and port partners. The system provides terminal operators with complete visibility and control of cargo at the gate, in the yard, and on vessels or rail cars, and is designed to provide faster, more efficient cargo processing.
-- Mainsail Online: Mainsail Online provides enhanced, instantaneous communication by giving customers and partners access to selected terminal data via an intuitive Web interface.
-- Spinnaker Planning Management System: Spinnaker provides terminal operators with fully integrated vessel, berth, yard, and rail planning tools in one workspace. Spinnaker's intuitive user interface is designed to maximize the efficiency of terminal operations, increasing cargo volume and reducing vessel turn time.
