The news is out...a new exciting version of Freightnet.com is being launched later this year

Later this year Freightnet will launch their new website to co-incide with exhibiting at the Freight Forwarding China 2008 conference and exhibition in Shanghai at the end of October.

The site will include more features, content, tools and new technology to better control the use and functionality of the website.



Development has been on-going for several months and they have either taken on board or addressed issues that have been pointed out to them by their members' and users. For example, in future all users and members will have to login in order to use the existing and new features.



Exporters and importers can continue to use the Freightnet Directory and Rate Request system free of charge.



More information will be released closer to the time but members can look forward to Profile Pages, Company of the month feature, Professional Networking, unlimited Press Release submissions, Freightnet Directory on CD ROM and much more.



Freightnet's Paul Smith concluded; "this new project has been under development throughout 2008 and by the time of the relaunch will have a membership expected to exceed 40,000 freight, cargo and logistics companies."



When asked why relaunch in China instead of your home town Manchester in the United Kingdom, Paul replied; "43% of all activity on Freightnet is communication to or from Asia and we consider this region to be a very important market, besides we have other plans for our relaunch in the UK."
