Public to Vote on Winning Design Through May 18.
Ten finalists have been selected in The UPS Store® "Design Dale's New Ride" coloring contest. The contest, which was open to submissions during the month of March, offers kids ages 5-to-12 a chance to design this year's The UPS Store/Toys for Tots #44 Camry, which NASCAR legend Dale Jarrett will race in October at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Now through May 18, the public is invited to vote online for their favorite design at www.theupsstore.com.
The ten finalists, chosen out of more than 1,500 contest entries, include:
* Kacie N., MD, age 10
* Hannah W., PA, age 10
* Michael R., AZ, age 11
* Bethany R., MI, age 11
* Kaleb C., IL, age 12
* Alex G., MI, age 12
* Lauren L., MI, age 9
* Vincent G., NJ, age 12
* Madison W., GA, age 10
* Samantha W., IL, age 9
"We received some very creative entries and I'd be proud to race a car featuring any one of these designs," said Jarrett. "I'm glad the public will determine the winner because I'd have a tough time choosing just one. This will be a great way to help Toys for Tots celebrate its 60th anniversary."
A panel of judges including representatives from The UPS Store, UPS Racing and Dale Jarrett, Inc. selected the finalists. The contest winner will be determined by the online voting results.
The winner will receive a trip for three to watch his or her design race around the track on Oct. 28 at Atlanta Motor Speedway; a custom-fit, autographed racing suit to match the one Dale will wear, and a Crayola® prize pack including Color Explosion™ White, school tools from its new TOTAL TOOLS™ and Silly Scents™ crayons, markers and colored pencils. Additionally, the winner's school will receive free copying services for up to 10,000 pages from The UPS Store along with a Crayola art supplies package for the art department.
