Your Cargo – our passion” – Hapag-Lloyd’s new website goes live today

Focused on customers / Valuable information on products / Diverse insights into the company and the everyday lives of employees / A continuous stream of new stories on the fascinating shipping industry

More modern, more interactive and more focused on customers. Starting today, Hapag-Lloyd presents itself on a new website under the motto “Your Cargo – our passion.” Going forward, Germany’s largest liner shipping company will provide more comprehensive and attractive information at www.hapag-lloyd.com with more focus on the company’s products and expertise. Important segments where Hapag-Lloyd has unique expertise, such as reefer cargo, dangerous goods and special cargo are highlighted along with customer friendly animations for their innovative container fleet.

The new website, which users can choose to view in English, German, Spanish, Chinese and Portuguese boasts an even more customer-friendly format: For example, direct entry into the Online Business section is now more present on the homepage than before, offering easy access to familiar functions, such as Container Tracing, Schedules and My Shipments.

By scrolling down on the homepage, users can view a map of the world on which they can track in real-time the position of all vessels owned or chartered by Hapag-Lloyd and retrieve information on a ship with just one click. The positions are updated every 15 minutes. Likewise, if users permit the web browser to determine their location, with the click of a mouse, they can also be shown the nearest of Hapag-Lloyd’s 361 offices across the world to their exact location, including all important contact data and its location on a map.

Furthermore, Hapag-Lloyd’s new website provides completely new insights into the business and work of the liner shipping company. Here, the focus is on employees and their know-how – as well as the fascinating world of shipping. The website will also offer direct connections to Hapag-Lloyd’s social media channels. The company already has a presence on platforms such as YouTube, Xing and LinkedIn, and plans call for additional channels to follow over the course of the year.
