Singapore, 22 July 2010: DHL Express, the world’s leading express company, today announced the appointment of ByungKoo HAN as the new Country Manager of DHL Express Korea.
ByungKoo takes over the helm as former country manager, Chris Callen, transitions into a new role as the Head of Human Resources for Asia Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (EEMEA) based in Singapore.
ByungKoo joined DHL Express Korea in March 2008 as Chief Financial Officer. In his time with DHL, he has helped consolidate the company’s leading position in the market by successfully introducing new financial measures and processes.
John Pearson, CEO, DHL Express, Asia Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa said, “ByungKoo’s financial stewardship through the economic downturn and his extensive international experience leaves me no doubt that our business in Korea will continue its strong performance. ByungKoo graduated from Sogang University with a Bachelor degree in Business Management and Georgia State University with a Masters degree in Accounting. Prior to joining DHL, ByungKoo was Finance Controller of Johnson Controls Automotive Korea and Country Manager and Finance Director of Goodyear Thailand and Korea.
