Luxembourg, 12 May 2010 – Because of growing customer demand and limited freighter services to Japan, Europe’s largest all-cargo airline, Cargolux Airlines International S.A., announces the introduction of a third weekly frequency to Komatsu, starting on 13 May, 2010.
CV 6344 is operated every Thursday evening, departing Luxembourg at 09.35 p.m., with arrival in Komatsu on Friday afternoon at 03.30 p.m. The return flight, CV 6355, departs from Komatsu at 05.30 p.m. and is operated via Seoul, with arrival in Luxembourg at 06.15.a.m. on Saturday morning. All times are local times.
The two existing flights to Komatsu are operated on Tuesday and Friday evening out of Luxembourg, with arrivals in Komatsu on Wednesday and Saturday afternoon.
Additionally, regular daily trucking connections link Komatsu with Narita, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka.
On board of Cargolux’s B747-400 freighters to Komatsu, mostly cars, machinery, spare parts as well as cheese and chocolates are flown, while from Japan, electric goods, car parts, and semi-conductor manufacturing devices are on board of Cargolux’s freighters for the company’s European stations.
Cargolux has served Japan since 1985.
Cargolux, based in Luxembourg, is Europe’s largest all-cargo airline, operating a modern fleet of 14 B747-400 freighters plus 1 B747-400BCF on a worldwide network, covering over 90 destinations, over 60 of which are served on scheduled all-cargo flights.
