Traxon Europe, the international provider of e-communication solutions to the airfreight industry, has won Translago as a customer, the first Colombian forwarder using EDI messaging services. For the renowned forwarder Translago it is a big step forward into the new e-freight era.
Frankfurt am Main, March 24, 2010 – The Colombian forwarder Translago, increasingly reliant on paperless communication in its airfreight business, has now begun using the EDI services of Traxon Europe. Translago has been active in Colombia for the past 25 years, having secured itself a privileged market position as a specialist for perishables and dry goods.
Traxon EDI gives the Colombian forwarding company new opportunities to increase its efficiency and customer satisfaction. “Paperless message exchange with Traxon EDI offers clear advantages to our clients. That was a key consideration in making our decision,” explains Translago Managing Director Christian Lüchau. Moreover, almost all airlines Translago works with are already connected to the Traxon Europe network. “With Traxon Europe we have 20 years of expertise in global cargo communication on our side. Traxon's competence and capacity for innovation can only benefit us in the long run.”
Translago is well-known for its effective service and smooth customs handling. Traxon EDI provides even more cost advantages - for example, in sending FHL reports for shipments to the U.S.
Traxon EDI stands for optimal connectivity, customized consulting, and seamless data transmission. The integrated host-to-host solution supports various transmission protocols and is compatible with all standard message formats. By choosing Traxon EDI, Translago can now use numerous other Traxon Europe products as well. First and foremost this means receiving proactive status updates (FSU), which will be available on Translago's web platform in the near future.
For Juan Enrique Salazar, Area Manager Sales The Americas at Traxon Europe, the quality of customer support also played a role in opting for Traxon EDI. “Apart from its comprehensive range of services, Traxon Europe offers its EDI customers individual support and step-by-step guidance during the implementation phase. This, too, was a persuasive argument for Translago.”
