BA World Cargo has today announced the launch of two new premium products, set to form a key offering of the newly named £15m 'Premia' premium facility at London Heathrow. The launch marks an important stage of BA World Cargo's long term investment into its premium products.
'Prioritise' is BA World Cargo's new express product. Customers will be able to send freight of any weight across the carrier's global network with every consignment carrying a performance guarantee, meaning that if the freight fails to travel as booked the customer will be entitled to a 50 percent refund of the freight charges.
BA World Cargo is also introducing a new airmail product, enabling the business to re-enter the transfer mail market. The huge increase in capacity available for the airmail product in Premia will enable the specialist handling team to deliver consistent processes, allowing them to handle significantly higher airmail volumes whilst continuing to meet standards of excellence.
A dedicated team for each of these products has also been put in place to ensure that BA World Cargo delivers world class customer service for its premium customers. The team will be overseen by Charles Tugendhat, head of the global products team, BA World Cargo.
Gareth Kirkwood, managing director, BA World Cargo, comments: "Over the past five years BA World Cargo has invested over £30m in our premium offering and the launch of Premia and these products highlights our commitment to providing our customers with products that will improve their business. The Perishables Handling Centre, opened in 1999, has been a great success story for us and we are confident our reputation as a specialist provider of premium services will be further enhanced by these new products."
