Vizada VSAT awards new contract to Kuehne + Nagel

Vizada VSAT has selected Kuehne + Nagel to provide a range of logistics solutions including air and sea freight and warehousing for its satellite ommunications equipment in the USA, Europe and Asia.

The new contract is the first to have been secured by Kuehne + Nagel in Norway following its acquisition of J. Martens AS earlier this year.

Formerly, J. Martens AS was the logistics service provider to Marlink, a subsidiary company of Vizada which produces maritime satellite systems. The new agreement sees an extension of logistics services to the parent company for a minimum period of two years.

Under the terms of the agreement, Kuehne + Nagel will transport Vizada’s products by air and sea, and will be additionally responsible for the mplementation and management of a number of consolidation and storage warehouses in the Netherlands, California and Dubai with potential for further sites as perationally required. Onward distribution from these sites to Vizada’s clients, which are often ships located at port awaiting new satellite communications tools, will be provided by road transport.
