Best of All Radio, Gold Awards go to “Land Line Now”
“Land Line Now,” a radio show produced by the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA), was recognized by the International Automotive Media Awards on June 23 at the Automotive Hall of Fame in Dearborn, Mich.
News Anchor Reed Black and Producer/Senior Sound Engineer Barry Spillman received a gold award plus a Best of All Radio award for a story titled “There’s a Wall in Washington” which is about the annual motorcycle cross-country event called the “Run for the Wall.”
Senior Correspondent Terry Scruton and Producer/Senior Sound Engineer Barry Spillman received a gold award for a story called “Aaron Tippin — Back on the Road.”
The “Land Line Now” staff won a Bronze award in the Public Service category for conducting a telethon for OOIDA’s troops care package program called “The Truckers for Troops Telethon.”
The International Automotive Media Awards competition is a program that recognizes and encourages excellence in all forms of automotive media.
