Swiss precision will be heading north on Friday 19 June when Swiss WorldCargo expands its Nordic Countries network with the introduction of two daily scheduled services to Oslo. Operated with Airbus A319 aircraft, the flights will provide about two tonnes of cargo capacity a day to and from Norway’s capital.
A major shipping nation with a high dependence on international trade, the country is essentially an exporter of raw materials and semi-processed goods. The country is richly endowed with natural resources including oil, hydro power, fish, forests and minerals. It is also currently among the world’s top five exporters in the seafood, crude oil and shipping services sectors, and has significant market shares in the light metals and ship equipment fields as well as in a number of maritime services.
The after sales services of these Norwegian industries require complimentary time-sensitive and high value cargo services; in fact, our investment in our new Oslo route highlights our trademark focus on care-intensive air cargo solutions. With its leading flown-as-planned track record within the industry for express and valuable consignments, Swiss WorldCargo is particularly well equipped to meet the needs of a niche airfreight market like Norway’s.
