FedEx Simplifies Expedited Freight Services; New Solution Provides Flexibility, Options across Portfolio of Shipping Services

MEMPHIS, Tenn.--May 1, 2006--FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) is making it easier for customers to access the range of expedited freight services and to choose the best solution for time-sensitive, heavy-weight shipments.

Press Release

FedEx Expedited Freight Services(SM) -- a new, one-call solution unveiled today -- allows customers to quickly and easily evaluate the surface and air shipping options available from FedEx Express, FedEx Freight and FedEx Custom Critical in order to select the best solution. Customers can call FedEx Expedited Freight Services at 1.800.398.0625.

"Our customers' business needs change daily, and in some instances, hourly. Customers are seeking reliable transportation solutions that offer flexibility as well as specialized options to meet their specific transportation needs," said Douglas G. Duncan, president and chief executive officer of FedEx Freight. "With FedEx Expedited Freight Services, customers can access the right network at the right time --all backed by the speed, precision and reliability that are hallmarks of FedEx."

With easier access, customers can find fast answers and flexible solutions, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Through one point of contact, customers can select from a broad range of freight services, based on their pickup and delivery requirements, time sensitivity and the characteristics of the products being shipped. FedEx Expedited Freight Services customer agents use proprietary information technology to quickly identify the optimal solution for each customer's needs. These customer service agents can also confirm shipping services upon request for any FedEx expedited or freight service -- all with a single customer contact.

The FedEx transportation services range from exclusive-use vehicles for ground transportation and on-demand air charters offered by FedEx Custom Critical to the speed and precision offered by FedEx Express Freight for air-freight cargo and FedEx Freight for next-day and second-day less-than-truckload (LTL) freight shipments.

"We are simplifying the sometimes complex process of provider selection, without locking customers into one mode or network. Customers can gain efficiency, while retaining complete control of their shipments," said Duncan.
