Over dimensional cargo specialists, Sahil Freight Express, has continued its success in providing logistics solutions for the power supply manufacturing sector.
Sahil Freight Express, India’s largest privately owned freight forwarder, has recently completed the transportation of two 105 tonne transformers to Iraq for EMCO Ltd, one of India’s leading manufacturers of such equipment.
Each cargo measuring 6.8m long, 4.3m wide and 3.1m high and was transported about 30 kilometres from Thane by road to the port of Mumbai and then shipped to Umm Qaser in southern Iraq.
Sahil Freight is a member of international logistics network, Project Professionals Group, and worked jointly with fellow PPG member Seven Seas Shipping and Transport Company (Jordan) who has extensive experience working in Iraq and ensured safe custom clearance and delivery to the project site.
Sahil Freight Express Managing Director Suhail Shaikh said his company had met a tight deadline in regard to delivering the cargo to the sub-station site in Iraq.
“Sahil Freight has demonstrated its cost-effective logistics capabilities to power supply manufacturers and as a result we are growing business in this sector,” Mr Shaikh said.
Rajan Mallick, head of international sales for EMCO said he was impressed with the seamless supply chain integration provided by Sahil Freight.

EMCO and Sahil Freight Express are planning further project cargos.
