Project Professionals Group has demonstrated its versatility with its United Kingdom and Ireland member recently transporting an entire concrete manufacturing plant and reconditioned decompression chambers and supporting equipment for the diving industry.
Quality Freight Group with its headquarters at Ellesmere Port, Merseyside, successfully forwarded the concrete manufacturing plant from its Ireland office to Colombia.
The cargo was transferred to Antwerp for loading onboard M/V Star First on 28th August 2008 and arrived in Cartagena, Colombia, a few weeks later. The cargo comprised 17 x 40' open top containers and 22 40' HC units along with 300cbm of oversize cargo. Overall weight was 661.360 tonnes with the heaviest unit weight of 15.5 tonnes.
The consignment of diving industry equipment was transported by All Freight’s UK office to Aberdeen before loading and shipment to Dubai. The discharge of the cargo in the United Arab Emirates was supported by PPG member Triple Crown Shipping and Logistics.
The cargo consisted of a diving bell (9500 kgs), twin lock (8000 kgs) umbilical (5000 kgs) and compressor (14,000 kgs)
PPG general manger Kevin Stephens said the group had again demonstrated that it was made up of multi-task specialists with the skills to collaborate and deliver project cargos anywhere in the world.
