Senior executives from ProLogis, The Limited, YRC Worldwide, and DHL/Exel will participate in a question-and-answer panel on the economy, globalization, and the resulting business opportunities.
The panel is a major session at the world’s largest supply chain management event, the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals’ (CSCMP) Annual Global Conference to be held October 5-8 in Denver, Colorado.
The participants will be Jeffrey Schwartz, chairman and CEO of ProLogis, Richard Jackson, executive vice president of Limited Logistics Services, Bruce Edwards, global chief executive officer of DHL/Exel Supply Chain, and William Zollars, chairman, president, and CEO of YRC Worldwide. Entitled The Executive’s Perspective: Unprecedented Instability Offers Global Opportunities, Rick Blasgen, president and CEO of CSCMP will moderate the forum.
“We are living in a shrinking world due to globalization and working in economic conditions not seen in decades. But savvy supply chain leaders have a history of thriving in turbulent times. These executives from four of the world’s largest companies have the perspectives and insights needed for the challenges we face today. They’ve already led their companies through difficult times. They are the right thinkers at the right place at the right time and their thoughts will be very valuable,” said Blasgen.
Subjects covered will include safely securing supply chain operations in turbulent times, determining which economic issues will help make the best supply chain decisions, and how to develop effective business strategies in challenging environments. The session is scheduled for October 7 at 11:00 am MDT.
Founded in 1963, the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals is the preeminent association for individuals involved in supply chain management. CSCMP provides global educational, career development, and networking opportunities to over 9,000 members.
