Dennis Day, a line haul driver from Con-way Freight, has driven over 2.7 million accident-free miles in his 29 year career as a professional truck driver. We’re climbing inside Dennis’s cab to learn a little more about what makes him such an exceptional driver.

Last week, Dennis visited the National Judicial College in Reno, Nev. to perform a safety demonstration on highway and truck safety for judges from across the country. Dennis explained the implications of various regulations on actual drivers and walked the judges through the different aspects of a truck to provide a better working knowledge of the rules they create.
Dennis is at the Georgia Fleet Expo in Atlanta this week to talk to attendees about the image of the trucking industry and the importance of safety. Dennis has brought ATA’s new image trailer which will help set the stage to talk about professionalism, essentiality and safety.
“Being an America’s Road Team Captain has been a dream come true,” said Captain Dennis Day. “Being a professional truck driver is the greatest job in the world and I get to share this with my fellow drivers and the motoring public.
