Additionally, Multimodal 2008’s free drop-in seminar sessions will bring industry experts together to tackle key issues in an interactive environment.
A series of round-table discussions will examine the challenges and latest developments in automotive logistics, virtual communities and the cool chain.
Chaired by experts including Robert Arundel, chairman of the Cool Chain Association, Dr Andrew Traill, managing partner of the Shippers’ Voice and policy advisor for the European Shippers’ Council, and Maxine Elkin, editor of Automotive Logistics, panels will be drawn from industry innovators including Emirates, DHL, GF-X, Autostore, PD Ports, Kuehne and Nagel, GEFCO and many more.
The sessions will deliver discussion on topical issues, as well as an opportunity for delegates to ‘ask the experts’.
Afternoon masterclass and training sessions will tackle issues from training and staff retention, to IT innovations, with input from expert organisations such as BIFA and Skills for Logistics, as well as detailed reports on targeted projects, including EU-funded messaging standardisation project Shortsea XML.
