Transfreight has been awarded a multimillion-dollar, multiyear logistics and transportation contract with Troy, Michigan-based Behr America. The global Tier 1 automotive supplier selected Transfreight as its North American 3PL.
“We’re very excited to be chosen by Behr America for this important role,” said Transfreight Chief Development Officer Chris Painter. “There’s an excellent fit between our two companies. We're looking forward to optimizing their supply chain network and to building a long, successful relationship that helps them achieve their business objectives.”
Behr America manufactures engine cooling and air conditioning systems and ranks in the top one-third of suppliers serving North America. The company is a subsidiary of Behr GmbH & Co. KG of Stuttgart, Germany.
“Behr has chosen Transfreight as our domestic 3PL mainly because of their management philosophy and dedication to continuous improvement,” said Mark Muehlenbeck, Director of Logistics for Behr. “The relationship simply made sense given Transfreight's current crossdock locations within the United States and their commitment in Mexico close to our Ramos Arizpe operation. With combined efforts, we look forward to the optimization of our supply chain and the realized cost benefits that associate with the relationship.”
