Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) is pleased to announce that Hong Kong has shone again internationally: Hactl has just been named the Air Cargo Terminal of the Year for the second consecutive year at the Supply Chain Asia Logistics Awards (SCALA), out-competing other regional competitors. The presentation ceremony took place in Shanghai on the night of 20 November 2008.

Press Release

The Supply Chain Asia Logistics Awards 2008 was organised by the Supply Chain Asia Magazine, one of the leading trade publications in the region, to recognise the contribution and outstanding performance of the companies in the logistics and supply chain industry. Finalists in each of the 14 award categories were chosen through an open online and offline balloting process. The judging panel comprising 16 independent professionals in the trade then made final decision on the results.

Following the success last year, Hactl scooped the top overall rating in the category of Air Cargo Terminal of the Year based on the following judging criteria: Level of customer services; Sophistication of facilities; Overall efficiencies; Incidents of mishandling; Handling charges; Airline network coverage; Use of IT and Launch/Upgrade of new products/services in the past 12 months.

"Hactl is honoured to be named the Air Cargo Terminal of the Year again this year and this accolade is certainly a testimony to our on-going efforts in pursuing service excellence and our commitment to upholding Hong Kongs position as the preferred air cargo and logistics hub in the region. May I express my heartfelt thanks to all voters, our customers and business partners for their vote to Hactl and Hong Kong, said Mr Anthony Wong, Managing Director of Hactl.
