Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) has been named the “Air Cargo Terminal of the Year” at the Supply Chain Asia Logistics Awards 2007 (SCALA) awards presentation ceremony that took place at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre on the night of 22 November 2007.
The inaugural Supply Chain Asia Logistics Awards was organised by the Supply Chain Asia Magazine, one of the leading trade publications in the region to recognise contribution and standards of excellence in the logistics and supply chain industry. A total of 14 awards were presented to various Asian and global supply chain and logistics companies through an online and offline balloting process to select the top five finalists in each award category.
A panel of independent judges comprising 14 professionals in the trade gave Hactl the top overall rating in the category of “Air Cargo Terminal of the Year” based on the criteria including overall efficiency, mishandling rate, sophistication of facilities, handling charges, use of I.T. services as well as availability of value-adding services.
"We are pleased to receive the ‘Air Cargo Terminal of the Year’ title. I would like to thank all voters, our customers, as well as business partners for their support,” said Anthony Wong, Hactl’s Managing Director.
“As the operator of the largest and busiest air cargo terminal, Hactl is committed to upholding Hong Kong’s position as the premier air cargo hub in the region by providing the highest level of efficiency, reliability and security in its service provision. We welcome the award which is a recognition of all our efforts,“ added Wong.
