The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals’ (CSCMP) Annual Global Conference
CSCMP Announces Annual Global Conference 2008, with Keynote Speaker Frances Townsend
Year after year the CSCMP Annual Global Conference is one that supply chain practitioners do not want to miss. It provides an abundance of educational and networking opportunities—personal and professional experiences that will enrich a person’s career and company. The conference offers over 200 educational sessions to choose from and numerous networking events.
“The education, networking, and personal growth opportunities that this conference offers is tremendous,” commented John Caltagirone, the Annual Global Conference 2008 track chair. “It is truly the premier and most important supply chain event of the year. This year’s lineup is the best yet, filled with the latest information on the global supply chain and opportunities to meet people from around the world.”
This year’s keynote speaker, Frances Townsend, will address geopolitical issues and their impact on supply chains. The message will expand traditional views of risk while offering new ways to mitigate it. Her insights are gained from front line crisis management and unprecedented visibility to US leaders. Frances Townsend was formerly Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism from 2004-2008. Currently she is a consultant to corporations on global strategic risk and contingency planning. (Full bio. on Frances http://cscmp.org/events/conf_08_global/session-detail.asp).
