BA World Cargo launches first UK-based cargo operation into Trinidad
BA World Cargo has announced the launch of a new long haul mainline service to Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. The new Boeing 777 service, which commences on 28 March, will provide customers with the only UK-based cargo operation into Trinidad.
The service will fly three times weekly - every Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday - via Bridgetown (BGI), increasing BA World Cargo's reach into Barbados from its existing daily BGI service to 10 flights per week.
David Shepherd, VP Commercial, The Americas, commented: "The region's cargo growth has been increasingly strong in recent years - particularly perishables destined for the UK - and this new service will be of benefit to our existing customers in Barbados as well as new customers in Trinidad and Tobago.
"This expansion of our longhaul operations reflects our commitment to growing our global network and is an exciting addition to our portfolio of services."
