MAYA Express : CMA CGM launches a new service dedicated to Central America

CMA CGM is pleased to announce the launching of its new MAYA Express service between Florida and Central America.

This new weekly service will start operating on 25th January 2007 and will deploy one 300 teus vessel. Higher-capacity vessels will be deployed in service in the near future.
The rotation will be : Miami (southeast coast of the USA) Saint Thomas (Guatemala) and Puerto Cortes (Honduras).

Neigbouring countries El Salvador and Nicaragua will be served by inland routes. “This new service is a first step for CMA CGM Group in a key and highly competitive market and it confirms our expansion strategy in the Caribbean and Central America.” said Laurent Falguière, Deputy Vice President for the Caribbean and Latine America lines.
