OOCL Announces the Opening of Two Offices in Vietnam

OOCL is pleased to announce the establishment of two branch offices in Vietnam, based in the capital city of Ha Noi and in the Northern city of Hai Phong on 1 January 2007.

The openings mark an important milestone for OOCL Vietnam (OVCL), as the establishment of the new OVCL offices will focus OVCL’s resources on further developing the market and will provide OOCL’s Vietnam customers with a Vital Link to world trade.

The two branch offices will cater to the diverse needs of domestic and international businesses, offering exceptional logistics and international maritime transportation services, and further strengthening OOCL’s position in the Northern Vietnam market.

“The opening of these two offices is part of our strategic plan in Vietnam, following the country’s WTO accession,” said James Chou, General Manager of OOCL Vietnam.

“With flourishing local economic growth, we believe cargo potential will be very encouraging over the coming years. Our own branch offices will enable us to offer enhanced and comprehensive services to our valued customers through internal integrated systems, dedicated full-functional organization and extensive service network, linking Vietnam to Asia, India Sub-continent, Australia, Europe and North American,” he said.

OOCL (Vietnam) was originally established on 1 May, 2004 with headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City.
