Weber signs contract with Kuehne + Nagel

As a result of the successful integration of ACR Logistics into Kuehne + Nagel’s North West Europe region, Weber-Stephen Products Co, a leading
manufacturer of barbecues and gas grills, has awarded the company a contract to provide the management of inbound
freight from USA and the Far East, as well as warehousing services in the UK.

Under the three year contract Kuehne + Nagel is supplying a dedicated warehouse service, within a shared user operation at its Dagenham site. Services include goods receipt, order picking and customer delivery for Weber’s high value gas grills, barbecues, associated accessories and spares. At the same time Weber will benefit from full
visibility of all inventory levels via the internet, and shared use of
warehouse personnel and transport operations during peak season.

Weber has been developing its business in the UK, and prides itself on
the quality of its products and customer service. The complete end to end supply chain solution offered by Kuehne + Nagel, with full visibility
throughout and a dedicated account management team, will enable Weber to improve its customer service further by offering shorter lead times and increased product availability.
