Interstate Warehousing Implements RedPrairie Supply Chain Management Solutions

RedPrairie Corporation, the world’s leading consumer driven optimization company, announced today that Interstate Warehousing, one of the top ten public refrigerated warehouse companies in the U.S., has implemented RedPrairie’s DLx® Warehouse and DLx® Labor for improved productivity, inventory control and enhanced customer service. The RedPrairie solutions are running in three distribution centers in Indiana, Ohio and Tennessee.

Interstate Warehousing has more than 60 million cubic feet of refrigerated and frozen storage space available for customers. Since implementing the RedPrairie solutions, Interstate Warehousing has reduced order lead times and improved inventory control, which enables them to run at near full capacity. The real-time inventory control allows them to store more goods, thus fully leveraging their assets.

The RedPrairie warehousing and labor solutions enable Interstate Warehousing to offer many advanced service and technology options, including its eView inventory tracking tool that provides customers with real time access to inventory, orders and activity 24-hours a day. Interstate Warehousing also offers a progressive approach to grocery distribution through its Partnership Program, offering manufacturers and retailers cost-effective consolidated replenishment shipments. Within the program, Interstate Warehousing consolidates more than 4,000 products for more than 140 manufacturers, retailers and wholesalers.
