On behalf of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, I would like to welcome all the representatives from all over the world to attend the FIATA World Congress 2006 Shanghai and celebrate the 80 th Anniversary of FIATA.

The congress will take place in the city of Shanghai, providing a platform for local and foreign enterprises to exchange perspectives and to seek development. It is also a good opportunity for the access of international forwarding industry to the Chinese market, to grow modern logistics and to strengthen trade relations between China and different nations and regions. I believe the FIATA World Congress 2006 Shanghai will witness more benefits and new opportunities emerging for the international freight forwarding industry.

The Ministry of Commerce will cooperate with FIATA and other sponsors and actively support the growth of international forwarding industry. Our joint efforts will secure the success of the Congress.
