Forwarder network to hold mid-year conference in Milan

Security Cargo Network, a global alliance of independent freight forwarders with 262 member offices in 81 countries will hold its mid-year conference at the Le Meridian Excelsior Hotel Gallia in Milan Sept. 22-23, 2005.

According to network administrator Dave Lucia, the mid-year meetings are for those who like to get together more than once a year or else had to miss the annual international conference held in late winter. Hence, the mid-year conferences provide a smaller, more initmate atmosphere for networking.

The 2005 annual conference was held at the end of February in Hong Kong and attracted 172 active member participants. As with all SCN conferences, the bulk of the time was devoted to pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings between the attending companies.

Security Cargo Network has reached its maximum alloted representation in the major markets of the world. However, positions are still available to qualified forwarders in the smaller markets of Europe, Asia, Africa, and North and South America.
