SCT welcomes new service EC3

On 24th Augest 2006, Shekou container terminals (SCT) welcomed the maiden calling of EC3 (Asia-East Coast service), boosting its total liner services to 45.

As the first service jointly launched by Grand Alliance (OOCL, NYK and Hapag-Lloyd) and New World Alliance (APL, MOL and HMM), EC3 was deployed with eight 3500TEU vessels in operation. It is scheduled to call at SCT every Friday with the following rotation: Shanghai > Chiwan > Shekou > Hong Kong > Manzanillo > Savannah > Charleston > Manzanillo > Shanghai.
