New Satellite Hub in Tokyo Will Boost

BAX Global has opened a new satellite hub in Tokyo, Japan to manage distribution of Epson printer spare parts in the domestic market.

BAX has been managing the company’s Global Parts Centre since it was relocated from Japan to Singapore several years ago.

The Epson Global Parts Centre (GPC) in Singapore supports the technology giant’s distribution of a wide range of parts for imaging and information products to major markets throughout the world.

BAX Global’s director for Logistics Business Development Asia Pacific, Andrew Mitchell, and K.W. Chin, executive director Logistics Division in Singapore, both attended the official opening ceremony on Tokyo, which was marked by traditional Shinto rituals prior to the formal opening.
Andrew Mitchell said, “The new satellite hub will enable us to support Epson’s commitment to provide its customers with the most responsive printer spare parts management service, and its prime position in the printer market.

“The enhanced service levels which will be possible through the setting up of this dedicated hub for printer spares will deliver significant time and cost savings.”

Yoshiaki Oya, general manager Pacific Distribution Centre & Global ASP Centre at Epson said, “The operational experience and efficiencies which we have been able to develop through our experience in operating the Epson Global Parts Centre in Singapore has provided an excellent template, which we have been able to build on with the setting up of this new dedicated satellite hub.”
