Kuehne + Nagel Inc. opens new, larger distribution center in McAllen
Kuehne + Nagel has strengthened its logistics presence on the U.S.-Mexico border, moving to a state-of-the-art distribution center (DC) here.
The new, 20,000-square-foot DC with six dock doors with hydraulic ramps, is in the heart of international trade and freight forwarding activities in the region, three miles from the Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge and five miles from McAllen-Miller International Airport. Its strategic location provides quick access to all major maquila parks in Reynosaand the Foreign Trade Zone.
The new facility increases Kuehne + Nagel’s logistics space in McAllen by almost 70 percent - necessary to accommodate strong growth in customer demand for integrated logistics services in the region. Importantly, customers leveraging Kuehne + Nagel’s McAllen DC can reach 80 percent of U.S.and Mexican markets within 48 hours.
