To Europe, three new ways
SwissWorldCargo is growing again, and this time in Europe.
As from March 30th 2008, three new destinations will increase the Swiss WorldCargo network in Europe with the introduction of daily scheduled services to St. Petersburg, Sofia and Florence. That gives us three new ways to care for your cargo.
The Russian way: St. Petersburg
St. Petersburg is the second largest city in Russia and the economic and industrial hub of North East Russia. With a fast growing activity of foreign investors St. Petersburg is one of the major gateways to and from Russia with specialised trade based on oil and gas. A daily flight departs from Zurich at 09.10 and arrives in St. Peterburg at 14.10. Starting from St. Petersburg the flight will depart at 15.00 and will reach Zurich at 16.30 (local time).
The Bulgarian way: Sofia
Sofia is the political and financial capital of Bulgaria, one of the youngest members of the European Union; the major Bulgarian and international companies operating in South Eastern Europe and the Balkan are based here. A daily flight departs from Zurich at 13.00 and arrives in Sofia at 16.15. Starting from Sofia the flight will depart at 17.00 and will reach Zurich at 18.20 (local time).
The Italian way: Florence
As the capital of Tuscany, Florence is the gateway for the region’s stable exports based on high quality agricultural production (especially wine and olive oil), fashion and chemical industries. Every day two flights will carry cargo from Zurich to Florence at 07.35 (arriving at 08.50) and at 17.45 (arriving at 19.00); outbound flights will leave Florence at 09.25 and 19.40, reaching Switzerland at 10.50 and 21.05 respectively.
Important notice: a temporary cargo export embargo is currently in place at Florence Airport for goods leaving Italy, while improvements are being made for security reasons to meet new requirements from the ENAC (the Italian civil aviation authority). All cargo destined for Florence remain unaffected.
