WOODLAND GEARS UP FOR MOVE

As a result of increased demand for its European road services, leading independent freight forwarder Woodland International Transport Co. has moved into new premises in Hull.

The Hull office serves as the operations centre for the majority of Woodland’s road services to and from Germany, Holland, Belgium, Italy and Spain – operated in conjunction with fellow Woodland subsidiary Millon International Freight Ltd., which has offices in Hayes, Middlesex and Barcelona, Spain.

Ray Elmes, who established Woodland’s presence in Hull in 2006, remains general manager.

Commenting on the move, Ray Elmes said: “The healthy development of our branch has necessitated the move to bigger premises, which will allow for further growth in the future. The Hull office co-ordinates a wide range of European road services – which we see as a significant growth area for Woodland – including direct daily services to and from Holland and Hull.”

Woodland is headquartered in Coggeshall, Essex and has offices at London Heathrow, in Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, as well as the Republic of Ireland and the United States.
