Wincanton Grows Wine Portfolio

Leading supply chain provider, Wincanton, has extended its drinks operation with a five year deal with E.& J. Gallo.

The new contract will see Wincanton manage the national warehousing and distribution from its bonded shared user site in Daventry, Northamptonshire, delivering over 13 million cases of product across the UK to a number of leading retailers.

The collaborative approach to the contract will generate efficiency improvements in the supply chain for the customer and allow the effects of seasonal troughs to be offset by the sharing of the warehousing and distribution.

Wincanton will also manage the port to DC operations and added value services such as product co-packing which will process up to 250,000 cases per annum across a number of SKU’s.
