CARGOLUX INTRODUCES A SECOND DESTINATION IN KAZAKHSTAN

Following the introduction of services to Almaty in August of this year, Cargolux Airlines International S.A. now announces the addition of Atyrau in West Kazakhstan as a second gateway in Kazakhstan. The service starts as of 26 November 2007.

CV 7981 leaves Luxembourg on Mondays at 10.05 p.m. The flight is mainly supported by major customers specialized in oil-drilling logistics and is operated via Baku/Azerbaijan, with arrival in Baku at 05.40 a.m. on Tuesday mornings. Departure for Atyrau is at 07.10 a.m., with arrival at 09.40 a.m. From Atyrau, the flight continues at 11.10 a.m. to Shanghai, arriving at 09.45 p.m., before returning to Cargolux’s hub Luxembourg, where it arrives at 08.15 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

The operation to Atyrau is in cooperation with Silk Way Airlines of Baku, Azerbaijan. In Kazakhstan, Cargolux is represented by its General Sales Agent, Nomad Cargo and handling partner Air Cargo Service.

Cargolux mainly carries to equipment for the energy sector to its new destination Atyrau. From Atyrau, Cargolux provides connecting trucking services to Aktau, Aktobe and Uralsk.

The return flights from Asia carry products such as IT related components, telecommunications and audio equipment, machinery and textiles.
