CARGOLUX RECEIVES RENEWED C-TPAT CERTIFICATION
Cargolux Airlines International S.A. has been re-validated by the U.S. Customs authority after an in-depth audit of its security standardsplans. The revalidated certificate ensures Cargolux’s continued membership in The the U.S. Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) and a more secure supply chain for the company's customers, suppliers and employees.
The U.S. Customs representatives did not identify a single non-conformity and did not come up with any recommendations when reviewing the security measures and procedures of Cargolux's supply chain. They deemed Cargolux’s cargo security processes and procedures of the a highest standard and . They also welcomed the company’s security awareness training program, its security management systems and threat assessment methodology.
As a member of C-TPAT, Cargolux can offer its customers in Europe and the United States a range of benefits and advantages, including time and cost savings through faster cargo release by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. C-TPAT members meet clear supply chain security criteria and, in return, they are granted a number of incentives. As a member, Cargolux is considered low-risk, based on the company’s past compliance history, security profile and the validation of a sample international supply chain.
Cargolux signed up with the C-TPAT program in May 2003 and has now received its re-validation.
