New group solves global logistics puzzle
Solving the logistics puzzle is the focus of a new business with global service delivery capabilities.
Project Professionals Group (PPG) launched this month (October) already has 77 members around the world who have signed up to leverage local resources to ensure safe and cost-efficient transportation of international project cargoes.
PPG general manager Kevin Stephens, who formerly headed up the WorldWide Project Consortium (WWPC), has a proven track record spanning 40 years in some of the most senior positions within the shipping and logistics industry.
“The Project Professionals Group is solely focusing on specialist global project forwarding and related services and is fully committed to delivering common commercial objectives and extraordinary performance, creating long-term business partnerships,” Mr Stephens said.
“PPG offers clients cost-effective solutions drawing on specialised project cargo skills that utilise some of the most reliabe and professional freight transporters in the world.”
Mr Stephens said there continued to be strong demand for supply chain management of project cargoes involving a range of industries. These included heavy engineering, oil and gas exploration, construction, mining, and power generation.
PPG has its headquarters in Brisbane, Australia.
