RJ upgrades cargo capacity between Amman and Aqaba
Royal Jordanian Cargo will be able to carry up to 2 tons of air freight on board each Embraer 195 passenger aircraft flying between Amman and Aqaba, starting October 1, 2007. The airline operates two daily flights between Amman and Aqaba, thus providing 4 tons of cargo capacity in each direction in order to serve the shipping community.
Customers in the rapidly developing Aqaba Special Economic Zone (ASEZ) will be benefiting from this improved service to King Hussein International Airport from the entire international network of Royal Jordanian, providing same day connections for their cargoes to and from Aqaba. Royal Jordanian’s flight from Amman to Aqaba departs daily from Amman at 07:30 am and at 17:00 pm.
RJ is the only airline that operates to Aqaba with scheduled flights.
Customers will also benefit from reduced clearing times at Aqaba airport for their import freight.
